Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of gerage.pk (the "service", "platform"). By signing in or using any part of the site you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the service.

1. What gerage.pk is

gerage.pk is an information and booking platform that connects car owners in Pakistan with verified workshops, mechanics, and parts shops. We do not perform repair work, we do not stock parts, we do not handle payments between you and a workshop. We are the directory, the booking layer, and the digital service record.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or use the service with a parent/guardian. Workshops must hold any licences their jurisdiction requires before operating commercially. By registering a workshop you confirm you are authorised to act on its behalf.

3. Accounts

Sign-in is by Pakistani mobile number + one-time code. You are responsible for keeping that number under your control. Tell us right away if it changes — we will help you migrate the account. Sharing one account between multiple workshops is not allowed; each shop should have its own.

4. Bookings

A booking is an introduction, not a binding contract between you and the workshop until the workshop confirms it. Either party can cancel before the slot. Repeated no-shows from either side can lead to suspension. Payments for the actual repair are handled directly between you and the workshop in person — we don't take a cut.

5. Workshop listings

Workshops are responsible for the accuracy of their listing — services offered, hours, phone, address, photos. Listings are reviewed before they go live. We may suspend or remove any listing that contains misleading claims, stolen photos, or dishonest pricing, or where customer grievances cross a threshold we judge to be unsafe.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or republish bulk data from the platform.
• Use automated agents to make bookings, file fake grievances, or generate fake reviews.
• Impersonate another driver, workshop, or person.
• Post content that is illegal under Pakistani law, that incites violence, or that targets individuals.
• Try to break our security, probe vulnerabilities, or DOS the service. (Responsible disclosure: write to [email protected].)

7. Reviews and ratings

Reviews must reflect a real interaction. We may remove reviews that are written by competitors, paid-for, off-topic, contain personal attacks, or that we cannot tie to a recent booking. Workshops cannot edit customer reviews; they can publicly reply once per review.

8. Content you provide

You keep ownership of photos, reviews and other content you upload. By uploading them you give gerage.pk a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to display them on the platform and in marketing material that promotes the platform, for as long as the platform operates.

9. Intellectual property

The gerage.pk name, mark, code and design are owned by gerage.pk. You may link to public pages freely. You may not copy the design, scrape the catalog, or build a derivative service from it.

10. Disclaimers

The platform is provided "as is". We work hard to keep listings accurate but we don't guarantee any particular outcome from a booking, that a workshop will perform to your expectations, or that the platform will be uninterrupted. Your relationship with the workshop, including the quality of the work performed, sits between you and them. We help mediate where we can.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Pakistani law, gerage.pk's total liability to you for any claim arising out of use of the service is limited to the amount you have paid us — which, for customers, is zero, and which, for workshops, is limited to the fees (if any) paid in the prior 12 months.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify gerage.pk against losses caused by your misuse of the platform — for example, listing a service you are not licensed to perform, or filing knowingly false grievances.

13. Termination

You can close your account at any time from your account page. We can suspend or close an account if these terms are materially breached; we will tell you why unless doing so would expose someone to harm.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Disputes that cannot be resolved through our grievance process will be heard in the courts of Lahore.

15. Changes

When we change these terms materially we will update the date at the top and post a notice on the site for at least two weeks. Continuing to use the platform after that means you accept the new terms.
